WHY WE LIKE IT? Chiefs Camp is one of the most productive camps in the delta. Its terrain is unique with large areas of permanent land as well as wetlands.

HOW TO GET THERE? Daily flight from Johannesburg to Maun. Daily scheduled flights from Maun into Chiefs.

SPECIAL INTEREST: Photographers paradise with a high abundance of big cats and predators. You stand a good chance of seeing rhinos while staying at Chiefs Camp.

Chiefs Camp is worth visiting all year round. No matter what season you visit, you will have an incredible time.

The peak season is definitely May-October but that is also when it is the most expensive.

‘Green Season’ rates are a fraction of the price and you won’t leave disappointed.

This award-winning camp re-opened on 1st June 2016 after an extensive rebuild and redesign. The 10 bush pavilions and luxury suite are some of the largest in the area (141 – 620 m2) and each feature a private dining area, a tranquil outside seating area and a terrace pool – all perfect for absorbing the surrounding plains and majestic African skies.
Sanctuary Chief’s Camp’s sophisticated accommodation with natural hues and materials that complement the charismatic scenery and the first-class dining and wines, regularly earns rankings among the world’s top safari destinations from arbiters such as Condé Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure.
